Dr. Pierre Angier, an osteopathic physician, is pleased to announce the opening of his practice—GET WELL, located at Johns Creek in St. Augustine, FL. Described as a “lifestyle” practice, Dr. Angier uses health coaching techniques to help people lose weight, get fit and manage stress. These are areas in which he has had extensive training and as he relates, “Focusing on health instead of just treating diseases and symptoms is a basic tenet of osteopathic medicine.”
Other services offered include osteopathic spinal care, chelation therapy and management of chronic conditions such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and heart conditions. Natural alternatives are often utilized in addition to more traditional medical approaches.
Alternative health care providers are often consulted when standard medical approaches don’t work. “While I offer alternative treatments, I believe my job is primarily that of a teacher. I present all the options to patients and give them the information they need to make an informed decision,” states Dr. Angier. “For example, while I feel chelation therapy is a safe option for improving heart health, it doesn’t rule out the need for more aggressive cardiac care—especially if the situation is acute.”
Dr. Angier is board-certified in family practice and has over 20 years of clinical experience. He has a four year degree in nutrition, learned mindfulness meditation from Jon Kabot-Zinn and is a graduate of the WellCoaches® program. He is certified in chelation therapy through the American College for the Advancement of Medicine.
The office is located on CR-210 two miles west of I-95 (exit 329) and is open Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
